As we approach the end of another year, I always set aside time to reflect—not just on accomplishments, but on personal growth.
For me, one of the most meaningful tools in that reflection process is the VIA Character Strengths Survey. As a life coach, I use this strengths-based framework not only to guide my clients but also to stay grounded in my own growth journey.
Over the past year, my profile has shifted in subtle but powerful ways. Here’s a look at what’s evolved—and what I’ve learned.
✨ 2025 → 2026: A Foundation of Intentionality
When I reviewed my profile at the start of 2025, these were my top five character strengths:
Appreciation of Beauty & Excellence
Prudence
Love of Learning
Hope
Perspective
This reflected a year rooted in thoughtful planning, learning, visionary optimism, and a sense of wonder. I was building with care, envisioning possibilities, and approaching life with a balance of curiosity and caution.
🌟 2025 → 2026: An Expansion into Authenticity and Connection
Fast forward to the end of 2025—and into 2026—my strengths profile evolved:
Appreciation of Beauty & Excellence
Love of Learning
Social Intelligence (New)
Prudence
Honesty (New)
Several strengths stayed steady (hello again, Beauty & Excellence and Learning), but others shifted upward—particularly Social Intelligence and Honesty.
This signaled a deepening focus on authentic connection, clear communication, and integrity. I’m entering 2026 with more trust in my voice, more presence in relationships, and a stronger alignment between who I am and how I lead.
💬 What This Means for My Life Coaching Practice
These shifts aren’t just personal—they impact how I coach.
I lead with more empathy and emotional insight.
I ask deeper, more courageous questions.
I encourage clients to step into their unique voice and vision—just as I continue stepping into mine.
Strengths work is never static. It evolves as we do. It meets us where we are—and helps us grow into who we’re becoming.
