LIFE on Canvas
I think of this painting as a page from my journal. I just happened to write it on a canvas.

There was a season when I felt drawn to paint. I had some feelings that sat heavy in me, and I wanted somewhere to put them. So I wrote right onto the canvas. A hard memory would come up, and then a sweet one, and I’d write the next thought right over both. I let my mind wander through my own life for a while and gave whatever came up a little space in the paint.
🎨 When I felt finished, I brushed over the writing until it went fuzzy. Then I painted LIFE across it.
I remember how good it felt to do something so simple. And I love that when I look at it now, I can see a little of every color coming through. Even the memories that felt heavy that day helped make something I still find beautiful.
