There’s No Place Like Soul began with my hometown.
I grew up on a farm in Hickman County, TN, riding the backroads with Pa and Granny in wagons, sitting with Nanny at her general store, and traveling dirt roads where creeks ran right across them. When I was younger, it all felt ordinary. With time, I began to understand what a gift it was.
This place gave me roots, memories, community, and a growing curiosity about the stories held here.
So, Hickman County, thank you for shaping me before I knew to notice. Thank you for keeping me grounded in who I am and for being a place I still want to know, support, and see flourish.
